Cloud Virtual Internship - 222010302036

This document discusses cloud computing and virtualization. It describes the four main types of cloud deployment models - private, public, community, and hybrid clouds. It also outlines the three main cloud delivery models - Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). Finally, it concludes that cloud computing will significantly impact the computer industry by making it easier for companies to deliver products over the internet without managing their own hardware infrastructure.

CLOUD VIRTUAL INTERNSHIP

NAME - VIKSHITH REDDY

RG NO - 222010302036
INTRODUCTION
• Virtualization technology makes cloud computing possible. Cloud
providers set up and maintain their own data centers.
• They create different virtual environments that use the underlying
hardware resources.
• Virtualization is technology that you can use to create virtual
representations of servers, storage, networks, and other physical
machines.
• Virtual software is functions of physical hardware to run multiple
virtual machines simultaneously on a single physical machine.
CLOUD DEPLOYMENT MODELS

PRIVATE
PUBLIC
COMMUNITY
HYBRID
PRIVATE
 Private cloud is also known as an internal cloud or corporate cloud.
 Private cloud provides computing services to a private internal network
(within the organization) and selected users instead of the general public.
 Private cloud provides a high level of security and privacy to data through
firewalls and internal hosting.
PUBLIC
 Public clouds are the most common type of cloud computing deployment.
 The cloud resources (like servers and storage) are owned and operated by a third-
party cloud service provider and delivered over the internet.
 Public Cloud allows systems and services to be easily accessible to general public.
The IT giants such as Google, Amazon and Microsoft offer cloud services via
Internet.
COMMUNITY

 Community cloud allows system and services to be accessible by

group of organizations.
 It shares the infrastructure between several organizations from a
specific community.
 It may be managed internally by organizations or by the third-party.
HYBDRID
 Hybrid cloud is a mixture of public and private cloud.
 Non-critical activities are performed using public cloud while the
critical activities are performed using private cloud.
COMMON CLOUD COMPUTING CHALLENGES
 Data security and privacy
 Cost management
 Multi-cloud environments
 Performance challenges
 Interoperability and flexibility
 High dependence on network
 Lack of knowledge
CLOUD DELIVER MODELS
 Software as a service (SaaS) Is a cloud-based software model that delivers
applications to end-users through an internet browser. SaaS vendors host
services and applications for customers to access on-demand

 Platform as a service (PaaS) is a category of cloud computing that provides

a platform and environment to allow developers to build applications and
services over the internet.

 Infrastructure as a service (IaaS) is a service model that delivers computer

infrastructure on an outsourced basis to support various operations.
CONCLUSION
 Cloud computing will affect large part of computer industry including
software companies, internet service providers.
 Cloud computing makes it very easy for companies to provide their
products to end-user without worrying about hardware configurations
and other requirements of servers.
 The cloud computing and virtualization are distinguished by the fact
that all of the control plane activities that center around creation,
management, and maintenance of the virtual environment, are
outsourced to an automated layer that is called as an api and other
management servers for the cloud management.
