 A self-introduction explains who you are, what you do and what others need to know about you.
 This type of introduction can be given out any time you meet people, either at the personal or professional
level.

 For example, you can use a self-introduction When-

 You begin an interview

 Attend a recruitment drive

 Network with professionals in your field

 Give a professional presentation

 Meeting new people at a trade show.


STEPS FOR EFFECTIV SELF
E INTRODUCTION -

1. Summarize your professional standing:


• The first sentence of your self-introduction should include your name and job title (or)
experience.
• If you are unemployed and seeking a job, you might mention your education degree,
certificational level or current place in your job search.
2. Elaborate on your experiences and achievements :

 Customize this part of the introduction to highlight the details most relevant to the
person you are speaking to.

 If you are in a job interview, discuss your professional skills and accomplishments.
 If you are giving a presentation , offer information that supports your authority in the area
you are speaking on.
 When you are introducing to a potential client, mention your products and services.
3. Conclude with a lead-in to the next part of the
conversation:

 Keep your introduction short and conclude it by leading into what you would like to
happen next.

 For a presentation, you would summarize what you plan to discuss.


 In an interview, mention why you are the best person for the job.

Self-Introduction For Freshers
 If you are a fresher, you may not have an idea about how, to begin with, an interview. This is how it is done.
• First, greet the interviewers. Thank them for the opportunity.
• Then tell your name and where you are coming from.
• Tell them about your interest and your passion.
• Then tell them about your achievements.
• Open up about hobbies, if you wish.
• Tell them that you are looking forward to knowing more about the opportunity and would love to
answer more questions.
 Self-Introduction In Interview For Experienced Candidates

 If you are an experienced candidate, introduce yourself like this:

• First, greet the interviewers. Thank them for the opportunity.


• Then tell your name and where you are coming from.
• Tell them about your experience and what you have achieved so far in your profession.
• Tell them if you are comfortable to work with the team and enjoy working on projects.
• Tell them you are seeking better opportunities that would aid in your professional growth
and development.

My father's name is Mr. XYZ And he is a businessman. My mother's name is XYZ and she is a homemaker.
My hobbies are learning new things and playing chess.
My Strengths are my communication skills, quick learner, and being a hard worker. My weakness is I won't

TIPS FOR SELF INTRODUCTI
ON DURING INTERVIEW

• The first impression is the best impression. So, dress in a professional way that is suited to the
role for which you are interviewed.
• Always be confident and smart.
• Make sure you have studied or researched about the company and role.
• Keep your introduction short and precise.
• Don’t say too much personal information.
• Highlight your achievements and accomplishment.
• Concentrate more on your qualifications and skill sets.
• Practice your introduction so that you can be comfortable describing yourself.
• Be prepared for the questions based on your introduction.
