The course, “Grammar,” is addressed to Second Year Licence
Students of the University of Continuing Education. It is
designed to help them develop and improve their study and
learning skills at university. As students develop their
learning skills, they find themselves making more effective
choices and achieving academic success. Understanding and
applying grammar correctly is crucial for effective
communication, both in academic and professional settings.
It allows students to express themselves clearly, convey their
intended meaning, and engage in meaningful dialogue with
others. By mastering the principles of grammar, language
learners can improve their overall linguistic competence and
become confident and proficient communicators
Introductory Note:
The grammar module is a fundamental component
of language learning and communication. It
encompasses the rules, structures and patterns
that govern the arrangement and use of words in
a language. In this course, they will be acquainted
with a variety of lessons including the If Clauses,
parts of speech, adverbs, sentence structure,
passive construction and written discourse. The
lesson of parts of speech, as an illustration, is
used to help students learn how to identify verbs,
nouns, adjectives and adverbs.

Rewrite a technical paragraph using the active

clearly and effectively, both in writing and
speech
Enhance the students ability to understand and
interpret the intended meaning of messages
Appreciate the complexity and nuance of
language.
As the aim of the course is to improve students’
skills in speaking and writing in English, the lessons
involve different learning activities and quizzes that
should help students to speak more fluently and
write correctly in English. Additionally, the
interrelated lectures are interspersed with activities
and reflective questions that help students
maintain effective learning strategies. In other
words, a set of exercises and activities is suggested
for each lesson. Finally, students take an exam
during the end of the semester to evaluate their
skills and learning process.
