 BASIC FACTS ABOUT MEXICO
1. Capital: Mexico City
2. Population: Approximately 129.2 million people
3. Language: Spanish is the official language, but there are also over 60
indigenous languages spoken throughout the country.
4. Currency: Mexican peso (MXN)
5. Government: Federal presidential constitutional republic
6. Major cities: Mexico City, Guadalajara, Monterrey, Puebla, Tijuana,
Cancún, Mérida
7. Climate: Mexico has a diverse climate due to its size and topography,
but it is generally hot and humid in coastal areas and more temperate in
higher elevations.
8. Religion: The majority of Mexicans are Roman Catholic, but there is
also a significant Protestant minority.
9. Famous landmarks: Chichén Itzá, Teotihuacan, Palenque, Tulum, the
beaches of Cancun and Los Cabos, the Basilica of Our Lady of
Guadalupe in Mexico City, the Copper Canyon.
10.Economy: Mexico has the 11th largest economy in the world by GDP,
and it is heavily dependent on exports to the United States. Major
industries include manufacturing, agriculture, mining, and tourism.

1.Chocolate originated in Mexico. Cocoa beans were used by the ancient Mayans and Aztecs
to make a bitter, spicy drink that they believed had medicinal properties.
2.The Cuexcomate volcano, the world's smallest, is located in Puebla, Mexico. It only stands
43 feet tall and hasn't erupted since the 17th century.
3.Due to over-extraction of groundwater, Mexico City is sinking at a rate of 10 inches per year.
4.Mexico is the world's largest Spanish-speaking country.
5.Tacos al pastor, a traditional Mexican dish, was inspired by Lebanese shawarma. Spit-grilled
meat and pita bread were introduced to Mexico by Lebanese immigrants in the early 1900s.
6.Every year, millions of monarch butterflies migrate through Mexico's butterfly reserve in
Michoacán. The reserve is designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
7.The Great Pyramid of Cholula, the world's largest pyramid, is located in Puebla, Mexico. It
is over 177 feet tall and covers over 4 acres.

The United States is a large and diverse country with varying weather patterns and climates
throughout its various regions. As a result, the best time to visit the United States in terms of
weather is highly dependent on where you intend to go.
Here's a breakdown of the best times to visit some of America's most popular regions:

The West Coast:

California, Oregon, and Washington on the West Coast of the United States have a Mediterranean
climate with mild, wet winters and dry summers. This region is best visited in the spring (March -
May) or fall (September - November), when the weather is mild and there are fewer tourists.

Southwest:
The United States' Southwest region, which includes Arizona, New Mexico, and parts of Texas,
has a hot and dry climate with little rain. Winter (December - February) is the best time to visit
this region because the temperatures are cooler and more comfortable for outdoor activities.
 Midwest:
The humid continental climate of the Midwest region of the United States, which includes states
such as Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio, has cold winters and hot summers. Summer (June - August)
is the best time to visit this region because the weather is warm and there are many outdoor
activities and festivals.
Southeast:
The Southeast region of the United States has a humid subtropical climate with hot summers
and mild winters, including states such as Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. Winter
(December - February) is the best time to visit this region because the weather is cooler and
more conducive to outdoor activities.
Northeast:
The humid continental climate of the Northeast region of the United States, which includes
states such as New York, Massachusetts, and Pennsylvania, has cold winters and warm
summers. The best time to visit this area is in the fall (September - November), when the leaves
change colour and there are many outdoor activities and festivals.
Food
The cuisine of the United States reflects this diversity of cultures and traditions. The food available in the United
States ranges from fast food to haute cuisine. When presenting on food in the United States, keep the following
points in mind:

Cuisine of the region:

There are many distinct regional cuisines in the United States, including Southern, Tex-Mex, Cajun, Creole, New
England, and Pacific Northwest. Each region's flavours and dishes are distinct, such as barbecue in the South, clam
chowder in New England, and seafood in the Pacific Northwest.

Fast food:
Fast food is a staple of American cuisine, with popular chains such as McDonald's, Burger King, and KFC available
in nearly every city and town. These restaurants are well-known for their burgers, fries, and other quick and easy
meals. There is, however, a growing trend towards healthier fast food options, such as salads and grilled chicken.

Ethnic cuisine:
Because of its diverse population, the United States offers a diverse range of ethnic cuisines such as Mexican,
Chinese, Italian, and Indian cuisine. These cuisines have infiltrated the American culinary landscape, with fusion
cuisine and new twists on traditional dishes emerging.
Farm-to-table:
Farm-to-table cuisine is becoming more popular in the United States, with chefs and restaurants
emphasising locally sourced ingredients and environmentally friendly practises. This has resulted
in a resurgence of interest in traditional American ingredients such as heirloom vegetables and
heritage breed meats.

Street Food:
In the United States, street food has grown in popularity, with food trucks and outdoor markets
offering a variety of international and regional specialties. There is something for every taste and
budget, from tacos to dumplings to lobster rolls.
In summary, American food reflects the country's diverse cultural influences and regional

remember when presenting on these popular tourist destinations:

NYC (New York City):

NYC, one of the world's most visited cities, is known for its skyscrapers, museums, theatres, and iconic
landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty and Central Park. Visitors can also explore various neighbourhoods
and sample world-class cuisine.

San Francisco, California:

San Francisco, located on the West Coast, is known for its hilly terrain, colourful Victorian houses, and the
iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Visitors can also visit diverse neighbourhoods like Chinatown and Haight-
Ashbury, as well as sample local seafood and sourdough bread.

Arizona's Grand Canyon:

With its vast expanse and colourful rock formations, this natural wonder is a sight to behold. Visitors can enjoy
the canyon's beauty by hiking, biking, or taking a helicopter tour.
Washington, DC's National Mall:
The Lincoln Memorial, the Washington Monument, and the Smithsonian museums are all located in this park-like area.
Visitors can also tour the White House or explore the surrounding neighbourhoods.

California's Yosemite National Park:

Los Angeles, Calif.:

This sprawling metropolis is well-known for its film industry, beaches, and hip neighbourhoods. Visitors can visit Hollywood,
Beverly Hills, and Santa Monica, as well as the Griffith Observatory.
The Pacific Coast Highway (PCH):
This scenic drive along California's coast provides breathtaking views of the ocean and mountains.
Visitors can explore nearby state parks and stop in quaint coastal towns like Carmel and Santa Barbara.

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is located in Hawaii.
