What is 5G?

In general terms 5G is the new use cases (or refreshed

old ones) that can be carried over any suitable network.
—Radio access options: LTE, NR
—Core network options: EPC, NGCN
691693
NR: “5G New Radio” / “NR Radio Access” / “Next
Generation Radio”
NGCN: “Next Generation Core Network” a.k.a. “5GC”: 5G
Core Network

What is mmWave Wireless?
The millimeter wave portfolio offers Antenna Integrated Radios for high-band TDD, spanning from 24GHz to 39GHz. These radios provide record-
breaking peak data rates and massive 5G capacity. The products are excellent for mobile broadband hotspots, fixed wireless access as well as low
latency industry applications. The mmWave family has industry leading weight and size and is optimized to blend in seamlessly.
Low latency characteristics of 5G mmWave will improve surveillance and video streaming/broadcasts, everywhere AR/VR for
enhanced onling gaming experiences, and the evolution of the 5G smart factory. Within the wider framework of Industry 4.0, the 5G
smart factory will help accelerate 5G deployment, create a substantial number of jobs, and usher in a promising new era of
technological advancement.
