Nombre PRELUDE, OP. 28, NO. 15 FRÉDÉRIC CHOPIN
Genre: Classical Music
HISTORY
• Frederic Chopin was one of the most important co
mposers ofclassical music. • Chopin and his lover went to Mallorca in the year1838 on a trip but the locals refused to give them accommodation because they were not married and for this reason they ended up staying in an old monastery where the cold and rain entered and there Chopin was able to compose his 24 preludes. WHY DID HE WRITE THIS PIECE?
• It's called Raindrop Prelude because you could
hear the rain falling and the leak is represented as an A flat (Lab) that you can hear throughout the piece. • Chopin did not agree with calling it that way because it is more like the sound of a leak but his lover was a writer and she thought it was best to give the piece that name. WHY DO WE LIKE IT?
• Interesting meaning and history and a
beautiful melody. • It's an emotional piano piece. • The melody is both melancholic and peaceful. • We find it very calming to listen to. WHAT DO WE THINK THIS SONG SAYS ABOUT OUR PERSONALITY?
• This particular piece conveys a sense of serenity
and contemplation that reflects our introspective and calm personality. • The serenity and contemplative nature of the music resonates with us and allows us to take a moment to disconnect from the world and simply enjoy the music. • Overall, we feel that our choice of this piece speaks to our love of music, our desire for calm and introspection, and our appreciation for beauty and complexity in art. CHORUS, VERSUS AND BRIDGE
• No lyrics in this instrumental piece, but we can
identify different sections. • Introduction sets the tone. • Main melody is repeated several times. • A faster and rhythmic section acts as a bridge. • The piece ends with a modified repetition of the main melody and a slow coda. THANKS FOR YOUR ATTENTION
