Powerpoint - Classify Angles

The document provides a structured approach for educators to teach angles through activity sheets divided into three sections: Diving, Deeper, and Deepest. It emphasizes the importance of fluency in key concepts before progressing to reasoning and problem-solving activities. Additionally, it aligns with the National Curriculum aim of understanding angles measured in degrees, including acute, obtuse, and reflex angles.

Diving into Mastery Guidance for

Educators
Each activity sheet is split into three sections, diving, deeper and
deepest, which are represented by the following icons:
These carefully designed activities take
your children through a learning journey,
initially ensuring they are fluent with the
Diving key concept being taught; then applying
this to a range of reasoning and
problem-solving activities.

These sheets might not necessarily be

Deeper
used in a linear way. Some children
might begin at the ‘Deeper’ section and
in fact, others may ‘dive straight in’ to
Deepes the ‘Deepest’ section if they have
t already mastered the skill and are
applying this to show their depth of
understanding.

Angle a is the

Do you agree with Abi? Explain why.
You should disagree with Abi as she is incorrect.
All three angles are equal in size. The angle arc is a
different size in each angle but this does not have an
impact on the size of the angle.

Bartek has not looked carefully at the diagram and may

acute.
