• Challenge: Due to COVID-19, a hygienic company had to respond with a 10x influx of
orders of hand sanitizer due to unavailability of their offshore team in China due to
quarantines. The team in U.S.A now needs to process 16,000 orders a day through SAP—
up from 1,500—from 85 different product SKUs. This currently takes 2-3 minutes per
order. They have a 6-hour time-frame in which they need to process these orders, plus 1
hour to handle any exceptions.
• Challenge: Global markets have experienced a major spike in trading volumes as a result
of the COVID-19 pandemic. This surge in trading volume between 300-600% has
increased the burden on IT teams to support the trading activity of their customers.
• Solution: The additional robot capacity has been deployed for those areas that have seen
the greatest spike in activity—particularly trade allocations and reconciliations— to
ensure continued efficiency during spike periods.
Retail & Wholesale Use Case
Processing applicants for 100k delivery positions
• Challenge: One of the biggest online retailers in the U.S. needed to respond to current
situation by adding 100k full-time and part-time positions for warehouse and delivery
workers for supporting online shopping and delivery.
• Solution: Ten robots were deployed to help with the automate application selection
process based on requirements. Finally, the robots start a background check for eligible
applicants and send notification for hiring.
