Don’t be fooled by how lightweight this backpack is: even though it weighs less than a pound, it is the perfect size to pack all of your Disney essentials — and then some. In the main pocket, we were able to fit a light rain coat, accessories, and snacks, and there was plenty of room to fit an additional sweatshirt and more items (read: all the Disney souvenirs). The outer pocket is roomy enough for a pair of sunglasses, lip gloss, wallet, phone, keys, and tissues. We also fit a 32-ounce water bottle in one of the side pockets, but there is space for an even bigger size bottle. 

Not only does this backpack impress with storage capacity, but it also delivers in comfort. The L.L.Bean Stowaway Pack features adjustable shoulder, chest, and hip straps, and has light padding on the shoulder straps. Despite being so lightweight, this backpack still provides enough support that the straps don't dig into your shoulders when carrying heavier items, and the hip straps provide extra stability. Another bonus is that the back panel has a perforated panel to keep your back cooler, which is perfect for those potentially sweltering Florida or California days. 

We love that it comes in multiple color options so there’s a style to fit everyone’s taste. Priced modestly, this backpack is great for any budget and doesn’t compromise on storage, comfort, durability, or style.

Positioned against the back for anti-theft purposes, the main compartment, though slightly less accessible, provides peace of mind. Whether you're heading to Florida during hurricane season or want to hit all the water rides on a hot California day, there's always a chance to get wet at Disney. To be confident that your valuables won't get soaked, consider bringing this backpack from Stubble & Co. We tested this one in our T+L lab and ranked it a favorite in our best waterproof backpacks test, spraying it with multiple showerheads to see how it held up. The durable PET material and lined zippers ensured that nothing inside the bag got wet, making it the perfect choice if you get caught in a rainstorm while waiting in line for Peter Pan.

There are also plenty of other features that make this a great bag for Disney. It's an organized packer's dream, thanks to a host of internal and external pockets of all different sizes. We thought the straps were comfortable to wear for extended periods of time, and the back is fully padded for additional comfort. Our only complaint is that the adjustable chest strap fell off during testing, and we couldn't figure out how to get it back on. The back padding also took a while to dry (while the rest of the bag dried very quickly), but we didn't think that was a big deal since that part will be pressed up against your back, out of the rain anyway. Other than that, we love this bag as a way to have peace of mind about electronics and valuables so you can focus on the fun parts of your vacation.

Even the most supportive backpacks can get uncomfortable to carry around in the same position all day. This convertible backpack from Baggallini can be worn as a backpack, shoulder tote, or crossbody, allowing you to change the positioning as needed. During testing, we found the bag to be incredibly spacious — great for a theme park day that requires packing things like snacks, water, sunglasses, portable chargers, and other gear. We like that there are also plenty of pockets inside to keep everything organized.

This bag is easy to convert between the three options. The tote and crossbody straps are permanently attached to the bag, so you can just grab them as needed. The backpack straps are detachable — you can tuck them into the back pocket when not in use. We found that the bag was most comfortable to wear as a backpack when packed full, but the tote straps felt a little too short to throw over our shoulder. The bag was also comfortable to carry as a crossbody, but awkward in size when totally full, so we would opt for this function with fewer contents inside. Overall, this is a great bag for people who want lots of pockets and the option to convert their bag between a backpack and a tote or purse.

The comfortable fit and snug positioning on our back ensured security without sacrificing mobility, with light padding on the shoulder straps and back panels contributing to a comfortable experience. Despite being one of the largest bags on this list, it is still well within the size restriction Disney places on backpacks.

Additional features such as a built-out front zip pocket and expandable side pockets, while leak-resistant and an antimicrobial liner make it spacious, practical, and easy to maintain.
