The Bureau of Reclamation is committed to providing safe and healthful workplaces for employees, contractors, and visitors. Highly effective safety and occupational health programs have many benefits including preventing injuries, illnesses, and property damage while also enhancing mission effectiveness and employee morale. Safety and health policies are merely one element of comprehensive safety cultures and programs. Supervisors and managers are expected to conduct effective risk assessments, enforce safety procedures in every job, and support employees so they may be successful in the safe accomplishment of their assigned duties.
