The Honors Global Perspectives category enables students to view the world from perspectives outside of Euro-American traditions. Global Perspectives courses offer students insight into diverse epistemologies and ways of seeing and knowing. They help students understand the rich diversity of global knowledge systems, develop competency in thinking across cultural differences, and prepare themselves to function successfully in a complex, interconnected global world.
Global Perspectives courses can be rooted in geographies outside the United States and can also study cultures within the United States whose traditions, histories, and values provide alternative perspectives to western ways of thinking.
