Details:

  1. 2/9/1960:  1-mile path through Greenup, causing $2500 in damage.
  2. 3/6/1961:  Touched down near the Cumberland/Shelby County line, and moved east before lifting around Greenup.  Path length 18 miles.  Approximately $2500 damage was noted.
  3. 6/13/1963:  Brief touchdown near Jewett, causing minor damage.
  4. 8/21/1977:  This strong tornado touched down in eastern Shelby County near Windsor, moving across Lake Mattoon, then crossing just south of Toledo before lifting 2 miles west-southwest of Greenup.  Six people were killed at Lake Mattoon; most of the 56 injuries were also noted at this location. Damage around the lake was approximately $2.5 million, with 9 homes and 55 trailers destroyed.
  5. 4/12/1984:  Tracked for 3 miles, moving into Toledo from the southwest.  Approximately $250,000 damage was noted.
  6. 10/17/1996:  This tornado touched down 1 mile northeast of Neoga, and was on the ground for 3 miles.  One minor injury occurred when a 35 foot travel trailer was blown over. 
  7. 4/8/1999:  Brief touchdown near Janesville, no damage reported.
  8. 5/1/2002:  Brief touchdown 9 miles south of Neoga.  It destroyed a 140x100 foot machine shed, driving many of the 2x6 beams deep into the ground.
  9. 5/1/2002:  Touched down 1 mile southwest of Lilyville (10 miles south-southeast of Neoga), destroying a large barn and killing 3 horses and 4 pigs.  It later damaged several grain silos and a barn.  Total path length was 1 mile.
  10. 6/11/2002:  Touched down 4 miles southeast of Neoga, and traveled 2 miles southeastward. It damaged the roof of a house and mobile home.
  11. 5/10/2003:  Brief touchdown 1 mile north-northwest of Neoga, causing no damage.
  12. 4/2/2006:  This tornado was on the ground for 1 mile, damaging the roof of a school and blowing down several large trees.
  13. 5/27/2018:  A weak landspout developed about 3 miles northeast of Neoga and tracked southwest. No damage was observed.
  14. 9/1/2019:  A landspout touched down in an open field 8 miles south of Neoga, knocking over some corn. 
  15. 7/29/2021:  Touched down just south of I-70 about 3.5 miles east-northeast of Greenup, causing minor crop damage.
