Details:

  1. 4/3/1956:  Originally touched down west-southwest of Weldon in De Witt County, then crossed northern Piatt County near De Land. 
  2. 5/11/1959:  This tornado destroyed an electric cable factory south of Monticello, while causing minor damage in town.
  3. 6/22/1963:  Originally touched down near Oreana in Macon County, then crossed central Piatt County and entered Champaign County north of Ivesdale.
  4. 4/3/1974:  This tornado was part of the "Super Outbreak" of 148 tornadoes which struck the eastern half of the U.S. in a 24-hour period.  It touched down midway between Farmer City and Mansfield, and moved northeast into extreme southeast McLean County before entering Champaign County, a total of 11 miles.
  5. 4/3/1974:  This tornado was part of the "Super Outbreak" of 148 tornadoes which struck the eastern half of the U.S. in a 24-hour period.  It touched down just east of Hammond, and moved northeast for 3 miles.
  6. 6/19/1974:  Brief touchdown near Cisco.
  7. 3/20/1976:  This violent tornado moved across southern Piatt County, after forming in Macon County.  It remained on the ground to just northwest of Danville, a total of 63 miles.  The worst of the damage occurred in Champaign County.
  8. 11/19/1985:  Touched down in extreme northeast Piatt County, and moved into Champaign County.
  9. 5/16/1986:  Brief touchdown between Mansfield and Farmer City.
  10. 4/11/1987:  Information not available.
  11. 5/16/1991:  Touched down 4 miles southeast of Farmer City, damaging some trees in a field.
  12. 8/16/1993:  Brief touchdown in a field 3 miles west of Monticello.
  13. 4/19/1996:  Brief touchdown in Milmine, destroying a grain bin and damaging several homes and trees.
  14. 4/19/1996:  This tornado first touched down briefly 3 miles south of Monticello, destroying 2 homes and seriously damaging a church and house.  It touched down again at the Monticello airport, destroying 3 planes, 2 gliders, and a hangar.
  15. 4/30/1997:  Brief touchdown near intersection of I-72 and highway 10, 6 miles northeast of Monticello.
  16. 4/8/1999:  This tornado touched down 3 miles north of Cisco, and was on the ground for 4 miles.  Four people were injured when a trailer was destroyed; one of the people died the next day.
  17. 6/4/1999:  Brief touchdown in a field 5 miles west-northwest of Mansfield.
  18. 6/4/1999:  Brief touchdown in a field 1 miles south of Mansfield.
  19. 4/20/2000:  Touched down in Lodge, then took an intermittent 3.5 mile path, before lifting 2 miles northeast of White Heath. 
  20. 6/20/2000:  This tornado touched down 1 mile southeast of Mansfield, and took an intermittent 2.6 mile path as it moved into Champaign County.  It destroyed a barn in Piatt County.
  21. 10/24/2001:  This tornado moved through Monticello.
  22. 5/14/2003:  Brief touchdown in a field 5 miles north of Monticello.
  23. 5/31/2006:  Brief touchdown in a field 1 mile southwest of Bement.
  24. 7/26/2006:  Brief touchdown in a field 2 miles southwest of Cisco.
  25. 7/26/2006:  Brief touchdown in a field 3 miles east of Cisco.
  26. 7/26/2006:  Brief touchdown in a field 4 miles east of Cisco.
  27. 7/26/2006:  Brief touchdown in a field 1 mile east of Cisco.
  28. 7/26/2006:  Brief touchdown in a field 2 miles west of Monticello.
  29. 5/1/2012:  Brief touchdown in a field southeast of Monticello.
  30. 6/7/2015:  This tornado touched down in a field 4.4 miles east of Monticello, tracking east through open farmland before moving into Champaign County. No property damage occurred in Piatt County. 
  31. 5/23/2019:  This tornado touched down about a half mile west of Cisco and moved through the north side of town. Numerous trees were damaged, several of which fell onto buildings. 
  32. 5/19/2020:  Landspout tornado touched down 3.8 miles northeast of La Place, remaining in an open field.
  33. 6/25/2021:  Touched down in an open field 2.4 miles north-northwest of Cisco, causing some crop damage.
  34. 6/25/2021:  Touched down in an open field 4.8 miles north-northeast of Cisco, causing no damage.
