On May 28, 1996 an F4 tornado touched down in Jefferson Memorial Forest southwest of Louisville and tore through northern Bullitt County and western Spencer County.  The Louisville NWS office has created a poster about this event.  Also, we are grateful for the following photos that were shared with us (click on an image to see a larger version):
