A storm will pass through the southwestern U.S. this weekend with widespread rain and mountain snow. Rainfall will be mostly beneficial but poses a risk for dangerous debris flows over recent burn scars. A significant winter storm will impact Alaska through the weekend with heavy snow across western Alaska and heavy rainfall across Southcentral with strong winds and marine/coastal impacts. Very Strong to Damaging winds expected over portions of north-central Wyoming tonight.

Peak wind gusts of 55 to 70 mph are expected across portions of north-central Wyoming tonight. The strongest winds are anticipated to occur during the overnight hours. Winds will generally be from the southwest or west, causing an extreme blow over risk for high profile or light-weight vehicles especially on north to south oriented roadways, including Highway 120.
