Spain's Sergio Alvarez Moya has acquired the 9-year-old gelding Malibu de Muze (Nabab de Reve x Tornedo FCS) from Stephex Stables.
Previously competed by Stephex Stables' Kendra Claricia Brinkop (GER) all the way up to CSI5* 1.55m level, the gelding makes his debut with Moya in the saddle at Hubside Jumping Grimaud in the south of France this weekend.
"I bought Malibu de Muze together with my good friends Javier and Cristina Hidalgo, whose daughter Lucia is my student," Alvarez Moya says to World of Showjumping. "They decided to buy half and give me the chance to keep Malibu for future championships as well as other big events. I’m very thankful for this opportunity. I believe that Malibu is a really good horse and will be competitive at the highest level. He needs a few months to gain some more experience, and I also have to get to know him better, but I hope we can start celebrating some victories next year."
