At 900 PM EST...High pressure ridging was extending into the Great

from the northwest. Winds shifted to become southwesterly,
redirecting lake effect snow bands to the northern and eastern
sides of the Great Lakes. National Weather Service Doppler Radar
indicated there were still some lake effect snow bands forming off
of the lakes, but with significantly less organization than in
previous days.

Lake effect snow will continue to taper off tonight under the
influence of high pressure to the south, allowing for a brief
break from snow before a low pressure system moves into the region
on Wednesday. Another round of lake effect snow is expected later
this week as the low pressure system moves through.

This will be the last Storm Summary issued by the Weather
Prediction Center for this event. Please refer to your local
National Weather service office for additional information.
