Although I wanted travel the world while on sabbatical, Covid forced me to return home way too early. So instead of exploring different countries, I became a babysitter, spent time with sick relatives and supported friends in the restaurant industry with ideation workshops and website & menu designs. All things considered, time well spent after all.

The Digital Garage was Innogy's in-house product development studio set up to drive digital innovation across Innogy. I’ve joined the Garage Berlin as the first creative hire and together with the Business Dev Lead started to build up a team from scratch. My responsibilities revolved around.. • Defining the UX research/design process • UX strategy, concept & creative direction for inter/-national projects (B2B/C/E) • Project planning & stakeholder management • Impact Circle Lead acc. to the Holacracy model

While at Takeaway, I was part of different cross-functional teams (website redesign, app, conversion) working on B2C and B2E projects. My day-to-day work allowed me to cover the whole design process from research to data analysis to UX & UI design. • Applying UX research & UX design methods to different products (personas, user flows, sitemaps, prototyping, testing..) • Behavioral data analysis using Crazy Egg, Hotjar, Google Analytics • Concept & UI design for A/B tests, evaluation using Optimizely

During my time at the TU Berlin, I was giving seminars at the department’s usability lab that combined theory & practice, focusing on user experience models and qualitative & quantitative methods to assess usability and user experience. Apart from that, I assisted with the lecture courses “Cognitive Ergonomics & Usability Engineering” and “Psychology for Engineers”.

My lectures for Bachelor students of Media and Business Psychology covered topics like behavioral psychology and cognitive theories, research methods, determinants of consumer behavior and CX.

Working in a start up in the bureaucratic context of a university, my role was a mix of UX Researcher, Psychologist and Project Lead. Focussing on measuring the UX using a mix of classic psychological, psychophysiological and modern user-centered design methods, I've worked on industry projects for BMW Group, Osram AG, BASF, Airbus SE and research projects funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).

Associated with the Department of Organizational and Industrial Psychology I was planning and conducting a study to validate a smartphone-based measurement of sleepiness-related posturographic information.
