Educational Experiences in P-12 Schools

For students who are preparing to teach, the College of Education has established effective collaborations with local school districts. Field experiences provide broad experiences in Fayette County Schools (the district where the University of Kentucky is located) as well as nearby districts. The schools are in urban, suburban, and rural settings, include diverse student populations, and offer programs that address their needs.

We seek to provide teacher candidates with opportunities to understand and value the many aspects of diversity. Through curriculum and field experiences, candidates demonstrate the use of methodologies in teaching students with diverse learning styles.

Student Organizations

You will find a variety of student organizations that are affiliated with your interests and help you continue to connect to your community. Organizations may offer both professional experiences and opportunities to give back and get involved. Learn more about student organizations in the college.
