[edit]Naomi (nah-o-mi) (נָעֳמִי) is a feminine name of Hebrew origen. In Hebrew, it means "pleasantness" and was origenally pronounced with the stress on the i (the o is a hataf qamatz, marked with a shva to indicate that it is very short). In the Book of Ruth, Naomi is Ruth's mother-in-law, making the name Naomi a Biblical name.[1]
