Hiiraan Region consists 6 districts:

2. Buuloburte

Over the life of the article, the "Districts" section has variously claimed that Hiiraan has four districts (diff), seven (diff), ten (diff), or six (diff). As of today it said "six districts" followed by a list of eleven names. Until someone can provide a number and/or list of districts accompanied by a reliable source, I have removed the "Districts" section. Thanks, -- Gyrofrog (talk) 21:19, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

While I was at it I deleted section "Towns and villages in Hiiraan." This contained an indiscriminate list, which had been tagged since January 2010, and required scrolling through several screens to reach the end. I don't see how this is useful; we don't have, for instance, "List of towns and cities in Kentucky." -- Gyrofrog (talk) 21:23, 28 September 2010 (UTC)

Hiran Region

User:Middayexpress, this should be "Hiran Region", not "Hiran, Somalia". Andrea Shan (talk) 06:15, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

The mover indicated that he moved it to "Hiran, Somalia" per Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English), as "Hiran" is the English exonym. Since there are apparently several other areas named "Hiran" (e.g. Hiran, Iran), "Somalia" serves as disambiguation here. Middayexpress (talk) 18:08, 19 November 2014 (UTC)

Demographics

According to a 2000 United Nations reports, the estimated population of Hiiraan was 1.5million, with the majority of the population being from the Xawaadle clan which make 75% of the population, other clan which make up the rest 25% are Galjeceel(10%), Gugundhabe(5%), Habar Gedir(5%), Jareerwayne(3%) and Abgaal(2%) particularly the Ujajeen clan Abdishakir (talk) 20:50, 28 October 2018 (UTC)
