"Soviet" are wrong translation of "Совет". "Совет" = "Council".

[edit]

Need to rename article to "Supreme Council of Russia".

Seryo93, by doing so, you violated guidelines. Never commit copy-paste moves, this mixes up page histories. Also, the move itself is by no means irreproachable: Supreme Soviet is more often used [1] than Supreme Council [2]. You would need to initiate a move request, instead of moving the page unilaterally. It's true that some former Soviet republics started to use Supreme Council as thetranslation of the name of their parliament, but this happened only in the early 1990s. Calling the Stalin-era parliament Supreme Council would be outright mistake. The standard translation was Supreme Soviet [3], [4]. MIaceK (woof!) 11:03, 28 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
