- (word-final) Scribal abbreviation of ⟨et⟩ as -et.
- (word-final) Scribal abbreviation of ⟨est⟩ as -est.
- (word-final) Scribal abbreviation of ⟨ue⟩ as part of -que.
- (word-final) Scribal abbreviation of ⟨us⟩ as -us when at the end of a noun in the dative or ablative plural.
- (word-final) Scribal abbreviation of ⟨m⟩ as part of -am, -em or -um.
- A word-final mark of abbreviation for some sequence of letters ending in one of the above forms.
Usage notes
[edit]Although used as an abbreviation for the word-final letter sequences ⟨et⟩ or ⟨est⟩, ꝫ is never used in isolation as an abbreviation for the words et or est.
