Advancing EPA's National Planning and Results
EPA's compliance assurance program advances national priorities and shapes and evaluates progress through transparent planning, analysis, guidance, assessment of performance measures, and implementation of the Foundations for Evidence-Based Policymaking Act of 2018, also known as the Evidence Act.
The Evidence Act requires federal agencies to develop evidence to support their work and annually submit an associated plan to the Office of Management and Budget and Congress. EPA's compliance assurance program leads the EPA’s Evidence Act module, Drinking Water Systems out of Compliance. EPA also partners with states and Tribes through a collaboratively developed evidence-gathering research plan known as the Compliance Learning Agenda.
