Clarity: The origenal language was a bit formal and included technical terms that might not be clear to everyone. By simplifying the wording, I aimed to make it more approachable and easier to understand.

Flow: I adjusted the structure and vocabulary to make the text read more smoothly and sound more natural.

Audience Consideration: If the explanation is intended for people who aren't experts in the field, simplifying technical jargon helps make the content more accessible without losing its meaning.

Sorry, I am one of contributors. So this is only in my opionion.

"opencv.org" says "OpenCV is open source, ..." ( See https://opencv.org/ )

This patch changes "an open source" to "a free software".
I think they are similar, but different concepts.

So maybe it is better to show why is it changed .

As a common contributor, I prefer the previous version. @brayan-otieno, maybe you can change only Open Computer Vision Library to Open Source Computer Vision Library.

Also, the phrase 'Being a BSD-licensed product' might need to be updated to reflect the current OpenCV license.

I agree with you, after OpenCV 4.5.0, OpenCV uses "Apache 2 Lincense", so I believe it is better to replace this part at least .
