Thank you for playing my game and such a detailed observation. I thought as the gravity is acting upon the bee, flying up should be slower than left or right movement. But if it reduces the smoothness, I would certainly take care of it. 

And I am sorry for that heart as player may die to gain extra life. As it is my first attempt to make a complete game, I missed the detailing. Your observation would help me to improve my level designing
