I like the art alot, shpoobo is my friend! I wasn't quite able to beat the third level but I enjoyed it up to that point. Getting the speed boots was super fun, I only wish it lasted a little longer lol.

Thank you so much! It's based on the folk song "Bella Ciao" but I had a ton of fun making this version of it.

This was really fun, and I'm impressed how well it runs and how nice it look son browser! This kept me entertained for awhile as a recovering tsum tsum player

I really really enjyoed this! I played it three times and gut up to the boss but died with him at 2 hit points. I could see this expanding into a really cool roguelike or something similar. Nice work, very fun and polished especially considering it was done in 10 days.

nNot booting in firefox is new to me! i'll have to see if i can figure that out too.

okay that tracks with what i've heard so far! opera and chrome have had that bug sometimes for sure, i'm not aware of hat happening on firefox or through the download yet though. thank you!

I had that thought as well. I have two, both at 1920 x 1080. fwiw, I don't believe anyone has experienced that bug on firefox or through the .exe

I was first drawn in by the artstyle and really enjoyed playing the game! I got all the way through to the chaotic final level and beat it! Great work, loved it, it was very cool how the sfx end up making a sort of soundtrack based on where you place them in relation to eachother.

GREAT JOB, LOVE IT

Thank you so much for playing! Can I ask what browser you experienced the bug in?

Yeah I've been tearing my hair trying to figure out what's causing/how to avoid this. Can I ask what browser you experienced the bug in?

Also I think we might've had similar responses to the theme lol

I wasn't able to finish it but I got through a good bit, nice work!

Having a lot of fun letting my evil accumulate! I'm still playing and plan on unlocking all of the skills in the tree.

I LOVED THIS. it felt a little bit like a rhythm game, was super fun, cool and simple soundtrack. I also love the way you did your leaderboard and immediately learned things from it. The reactive soundtrack when you hop on the top rail was very cool and satisfying. This is one I might seriously try to dedicate time to getting good at.

I love brick breaker and had a very fun time with this game! I was able to almost get to the boss a few times and saw a couple random events as well (unfortunately I'd already spent all my money so I couldn't see what they might've done lol). Nice job, thanks for the fun!

I liked this alot! Felt pretty smooth and there were some very cool interactions, I liked the little touches with the character animations and such too.

I got the 4 citizens I could find but then didn't see anything else to interact with so I called it there. As a fan of stardew valley fishing i really enjoyed the persuasion minigame in this. Also liked the different designs for the characters a lot. I feel like i saw some earthbound influence too!

I really liked the visual aesthetic of this game! Gameplay was fun too, it controlled nicely and I enjoyed trying to get further each time.

I noticed the music didn't seem to loop for me, and also got a visual bug I think where the digits of my final time appeared as different block characters.

That's super helpful, thank you! I suspect it has something to do with the calculation for jump strength taking mouse to player distance into account, which could totally interact with what you're suggesting. On most displays the game should be designed in a way that you can always reach (or spawn) money from the bottom and reach that lowest platforms by 3 crowns. But I've seen what I think you experienced where the jump height just never goes above a tiny hop at the start. Anyway, thank you for the information and the feedback, and for playing our game!

I loved this so much! Genuinely my only criticism would be that I wanted more of it, and imo that's a great spot to be in. And I'm very impressed with how much you were able to do during the jam! The art was incredible and the game was super funny, definitely one of my favorites so far.

Thank you! That's a bug I've heard from at least 3 people, not the majority but it's definitely happening sometimes and I'm trying to figure out why. If you don't mind sharing, what browser did that happen in?

It was too hard for me to get very far but I'm super intrigued by the wall-sticking mechanic! I wanna spend some more time getting a handle on it because I really enjoyed the idea. Also the dark souls death text got a good chuckle out of me.

I'm very impressed with the physics system you were able to work out in such a short time! Other than some awkwardness with ledges and jumps not registering when I expect them to, this was an extremely smooth experience with some very neat puzzles and mechanics. I would love to see more of this. Mag jumping was very fun to figure out, and I especially liked using a block to sort of float up bit by bit. Excited to see where you go whether it's more of this or a new idea!

Damn, Axel gets it! Thank you for the in-depth and accurate analysis of our goofy lil anti-fascist flash game.

Top notch presentation and just a ton of fun! I was able to successfully complete all but 2 of the minigames and really enjoyed my three attempts.

This was super fun! I liked the little narrative elements and really enjoyed playing through all the levels. It was like a speed puzzle, figuring out how to kite the ghosts was especially satisfying for me. Would love to see this idea expanded on, nice work!

I loved the art and this was such a fun idea! Movement was pretty smooth too once I got ahold of it, though stopping my momentum proved pretty difficult most of the time. Also worth nothing that I tried using the mouse thumb buttons but one of them is also tied to stepping back a page on my browser so i wasn't able to lol. Another reason to love that you gave options for controls though! Overall this was a fun and wonderful game, also scoped very well for a game jam time constraint imo.

This seems to be a rare bug! I haven't figured out what causes it yet. Out of curiosity, what browser were you using to play it?

This was fun and funny and a very cool approach to a game jam! I was able to get every star except the bacon and the hide under umbrellas from the hammer ones. Had a great time! I loved the art so much.

unfortunately one bug I wasn't able to fix in time. I'm sorry you became a casualty!

such is the fate of many great kings

I thought and honestly kind of hoped it would, so I'm sorry and also thank you lol

I gotta spend some time getting a handle on the controls but this is fun already!!

I'm so on it. Also,

Boot King Leaderboard has been reset for the game jam!

You're so good!!! I wanted to warn you that I'm gonna be resetting the leaderboard before the jam ends, but I'm very impressed and honored that you at one point had every single spot in the top 10. It'll be honored in a screenshot on the game page. Thank you for playing so much! I'm excited to check your game out.

wonderful. perfection. can't wait to see what you come up with next.

i really appreciate all of the detailed and constructive notes! this was my first game so input like that can be very helpful. especially the note about axis flipping, that makes so much sense. thank you!

this was fun! i love TD games and this is a pretty good one, i got through the first two stages and am planning to come back to it later and try to beat it. nice work!

This was fun! Had a really nice to the movement and shooting. The checkpoints didn't seem to work for me, I kept getting them but still being teleported back to the bottom. I also would've loved some music in the game. But great work overall!
