Everything related to SDL is already installed, but you could try to run the main.exe in a virtual Windows box.

Which C++ compiler do you use?

If you get an error in "game_SDLx_32 (experimental)" try to switch
"main(...){}" with "WinMain(...){}" in the main.cpp file 

I could try to provide a linux version on my github.

I just tried it with a windows virtual machine and installed MSYS2 on it and it worked
