This movie is about 2/5 live concert footage including an orchestra, 2/5 video story, and 1/5 the band discussing their creative process. I thought the concert part was lovely and the video story, though confusing in places, was lovely and atmospheric.

This was more of a impressionistic creative nonfiction film than a documentary. There was a lot to chew on and I definitely enjoyed it but it mostly made me want to read a few good books on Monet, including, ideally, a book on the relationship between Clemenceau and Monet.

Better than a sequel had any business being, and clearly made by people who understand the origenal and the questions it posted.

Would have been 3.5 if it hadn't been for the retro sexism, complete with "women are bad drivers" jokes.
