Work by several researchers within the University of Kentucky’s Sanders-Brown Center on Aging was recently published in the prestigious journal Nature Genetics.
The GME Emerging Leaders program is designed to provide a leadership development opportunity to Chief Residents and Fellows in their important new leadership role. As part of the six-month program, a variety of personal and professional leadership topics are facilitated by UK HealthCare’s Enterprise Learning team, in coordination with other leaders across the enterprise.
Derek Allison, MD, has been selected as director of the Molecular Tumor Board effective July 15, 2024. This is a statewide tumor board with around 30 case submissions per week, of which only 8 are chosen to be reviewed every other week. This position will allow Dr. Allison to conduct more significant QA reviews for in-house cases. Excellent work Dr. Allison!

Cody Bumgardner, PhD, is a co-investigator on a newly funded grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse titled “Rapid Actionable Data for Opioid Response in Kentucky (RADOR-KY)”.
