Description

Team in the Wikimedia Foundation Product and Tech Department, formed in 2024 by merging Language-Team and Inuka-Team. We have divided our work into three works streams: LPL Essential, LPL Hypothesis , and LPL Technical Support.

We triage tasks weekly on Thursdays from the backlogs of this board and from the project boards that are in active maintenance or development.

NOTE: When we triage a task, we usually remove Language and Product Localization tag and add/keep component specific tags. Only very urgent tasks are added to a sprint as Unplanned-Sprint-Work.

Maintenance levels

This team has lots of responsibilities, and it is not possible to pay full attention to all of them simultaneously. Hence we have documented different levels of attention to set the expectations both to other parties and ourselves. Projects move between different levels of maintenance during their life-time.

Our code review practices are documented in a separate code review statement.
