"Great notification system " Posted 2021-07-07
Pros: Easy to maneuver and teach. My training was 1 hour and I can send any notifications that are needed to any area of our town.
Cons: Can't pick multiple sections for one notification so you have to create multiple notifications for all affected areas.
Overall: This system works well in notifying all who have signed up. Only issue I have seen is those who have signed up do not always update their information to current emails or cell phones.

"Regroup Mass Notification System" Posted 2021-05-05
Pros: It's a fast and convenient form of communication. Getting messages out to the users is so easy to set up; from the admin panel, it's just a few clicks, and before you know it, it's all set. We send out alerts to all of our users to keep them informed of any minor and or critical issues or weather related emergencies. The system allows mass notifications to both text and email which comes in handy for those users that only have one of the two.
Cons: I don't think I have ever seen any pictures or images in the messages. This leads me to believe that either the system doesn't support this type of messaging or we may just not have the correct information to set this up.
Overall: Regroup would more than likely be our fist choice for a mass notification system. Once you set up any alerts it seems to be pretty straight forward from there, you just select your user group(s) and send out the communication, this makes it easy to use and manage. We have been using this communication software for several years now and don't have any issues with it. The price is also a factor for us, this software was less expensive that other solutions that do the same thing.

"Love this product!" Posted 2021-05-05
Pros: The product is easy to use and very functional. Because of the ease of use and also the role based permissions, I am able to teach others and allow notifications to simply be approved and published when it gets to me.
Cons: Slow to make updates but very communicable. There are some updates that we were looking for in the beginning that were promised but have been delayed. Hopefully these are still in the works.
Overall: Overall its a great system. Easy to use and can be customized to fit your organization. Support is always available and ready to assist.

"Regroup Mass Notification " Edited 2021-05-05
Pros: This service is a wonderful program. Regroup Mass Notification sends a message out, keeping staff and students updates with what is happening on campus. They inform us regarding tornado warnings, fire drills, increments weather, intruder on campus and etc. They will let you know when the event and then the event has ended.
Cons: Early morning text alerts the event occurs in the early a.m. hours.
Overall: I love being kept up to date. I know there are times that we get notifications in the middle of the night or early a.m. hours, however it's great knowing that they care about our safety.

"No Hassle Mass Notifications" Posted 2021-03-18
Pros: The Regroup Mass Notification software is extremely easy to use and the web interface / portal is also laid out in a way that makes it easy to navigate and manage. In addition, the software allows for third party integration through an application programming interface (API).
Cons: Although the software is really user friendly some of the more advanced features could use some easier to follow instructions, perhaps adding screenshots or a video illustrating how to set up and configure them.
Overall: In comparison to other similar products, Regroup would still be our fist choice for mass notifications. Once it has been set up it seems to be very easy to use and manage. We have been using this product for years now and have not seen any other software companies that offer the same or better service for the price that you pay with Regroup.

"Simple and easy to use notification system" Posted 2021-03-17
Pros: The interface is so easy to use that we were able to delegate some of the setup for this product to some of our tier 1 help desk analysts. We were glad to find advanced features which were included with the software, these allowed us to use a third party software via an API. This comes in handy if you need to integrate the Regroup mass notification software into other systems with little to no effort. Also the price point in comparison to other companies which we looked at was competitive.
Cons: We were unable to find video tutorials which would have been useful in either basic or advanced setup of the product. We managed to figure out what we needed for our particular scenario but it would have been a lot less time consuming to have been able to follow a vendor-provided how-to video.
Overall: We recommend this software to anyone looking for an all-in-one notification system. The Regroup mass notification system was one of the least expensive solutions and one of the easiest to use and manage.

"Very easy to use." Posted 2021-03-15
Pros: We use Regroup daily to send mass notifications. It's easy to setup and use. The web interface is nice to use.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of. It just works. A dark theme would be nice. But I really can't think of any cons for this product.
Overall: I recommend Regroup. It's easy to use and works well. We haven't had any issues with the product and plan to use it for years to come.

"Great Communication Tool" Posted 2021-03-15
Pros: This software allows users to successfully eliminate multiple messages, calls, and emails to convey information to large groups. One message and you are done!! You can easily break down large groups into smaller sub-groups for need to know information (ex. nurses/doctors/administration, etc in a hospital setting) or send the information to the entire organization with one click.
Cons: As of right now, I don't have any big complaints. This software has made communicating with my team so much easier.
Overall: Great product for mass communication. It has helped me communicate much easier with my team. No more multiple messages to small groups. I can send out in one big group and reach everyone I need to.

"Mass Communication Tool Review - Acceptable tool for mass notification for higher education" Posted 2021-03-15
Pros: The ability to manually upload groups that you can pull from datasets.
Prepopulating groups allows for quick emergency notification generation.
The texting and opt out ability for students is pretty painless.
Configuring users for admin level access easy and quick.
Training is easy and quick.
Support is there.
The texting add on /texting carrier is pretty painless to use. There doesn't seem to be an issue using them as a texting aggregate.
Best cost from others at the moment, both in text and user count.Cons: Groups can be overwritten by anyone with admin level access.
Count of members in the group reflect existing contact information/contact information doesn't always accurately reflect the manual load.
Shared opt out-- if individuals belong to multiple bodies using regroup, opting out of one opts out of the entire regroup platform.
Support is not very effective -- long response times.
Inability to understand higher level technical questions (importing custom fields).
The largest drawback is the inability to mail merge, which cripples the software for customization. There's supposedly an update that was scheduled to include this feature, but we had to migrate to a different mass communication system for mail merge.Overall: Check if your institution needs mail merge right away. From my recollection- the mail merge (importing custom fields within a csv) did not exist when we were using it.

"Fast and easy notifications to all users!" Posted 2021-03-15
Pros: Regroup has an easy to use user interface. The dashboard has everything on it, even summary of reports. Admins can send notifications from any browser or the mobile app. You have the ability to send to email, text, call, and app in an instant. Just click on New post select a premade template and post. Pretty simple. There are ways to have ready to go customized templates and posts. Reports have charts right on the page to show use and how many received. Setup and installation was easy and anyone could use the software it doesn't take an IT guy to use. Support is also great.
Cons: We haven't had any issues with the system so far.
Overall: We have been using Regroup at our college for years and it has not let us down. We can post from anywhere and get information out to students as soon as possible. When there is a situation, seconds matter. So the less that it takes to make a post the quicker something gets out. Regroup makes it simple to get the message out to users as quick as possible.

"Mass Notifications Made Easy!" Posted 2021-03-15
Pros: The admin panel is simple and makes it easy to make changes, add groups, and even get an API configured in a matter of minutes.
Cons: The only challenges I have encountered was searching through the documentation, this may be an area to improve on, possibly even making video tutorials that would enhance the customer experience.
Overall: The overall communication for all of our students and staff is much easier. It's much easier than just sending out email blasts, the text portion of this means a lot, it gives us the assurance that the communication is being delivered, received, and read in a timely manner.

Cons: Users who are given logins can remove themselves from the notifications of potentially critical groups
Overall: Overall an excellent tool to use for mass notification and requires little to no training as the interface is easy to navigate and manage. Sending notifications(especially during COVID) has been extremely easy and fluid

"Good for mass notification" Posted 2021-03-15
Pros: I like that we can instantly send a text to a lot of individuals, followed up by an email. And that we can set the date and time.
Cons: I do not like that we cannot design nice emails, nor allow students to reply back.
Overall: I think it is good for mass notification but that would be it. If a communication system can be installed then I would rate it higher.
