CIN
is a measure of the stability of the atmosphere and defines the
vertically integrated negative buoyancy of a rising parcel. It is a good indicator
of general stability, and convection tends to be less vigorous with higher values.
CIN < 100 Potential Instability. CIN 100 to 200 Marginally stable. CIN 200 to 300 Moderately stable. CIN > 400 Very stable.
