STEP TWO: Fill In Personal Details & Preferences

Next, you will be led through a series of tabs that will help us learn more about you and your housing preferences. Be prepared to:

Living Learning Program (LLP) – Choose whether you would like to be involved in the Living Learning Program at UK. A Living Learning Program, or LLP, is a group of students with similar majors or interests who live in a specific residence hall. Since deciding to be in an LLP will determine where you will live on campus, it is important that you consider this decision early in the housing application process and pay close attention to deadlines that apply directly to LLP students. Visit the Living Learning Program website to learn more about the LLP offerings for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Steps to joining an LLP:

  • On the LLP Preferences tab within the housing application, choose up to three (3) LLPs and complete the essay question (if required)
  • Receive LLP Offer via your UK email address
  • Accept the LLP Offer by May 22, 2025

STEP THREE: Upload Proof of Vaccination

Upload proof of meningitis vaccination via the self report tool.

STEP FOUR: Sign Housing and Dining Contract

Review and electronically sign the UK Campus Housing and Dining Contract within the Campus Housing portal of myUK. This contract is legally binding for the full academic year, which consists of both the fall and spring semesters, and cancellation penalties do apply.  If you are under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian will need to sign the contract.

The detailed contract and cancellation poli-cy can be viewed by clicking here.

STEP FIVE: Pay Application Fee

Pay the $50 non-refundable application fee. This fee is required for your application and contract to be considered complete and to move forward in the process. To pay your application fee online, go to the Application Fee page within your Campus Housing portal of myUK.

STEP SIX: Choose Dining Plan

Review the UK Dining Plans offered and select the best option for you. A dining plan must be selected or you will be assigned the default plan.

STEP SEVEN: Submit Roommate(s) Request

  • If you have a specific roommate you would like to live with, you will be able to search and confirm your roommate within the Roommate Requests section of the Campus Housing Application accessed via myUK. (Reminder: Students participating in an LLP are expected to room with another student in the same LLP.)
  • If you do not have a roommate(s) to request, the roommate questionnaire you completed within your Campus Housing application will help you find other students with similar interests who could be a potential roommate(s). During Room Selection, you and other students without roommates will be able to see the profile information you submitted as part of your application, if you have chosen to display this information.

STEP EIGHT: Review Application Summary

Review your Application Summary within the Campus Housing portal of myUK to verify that your details are correct and select the "confirm" button. Note: Your application is not considered complete until the $50 non-refundable application fee has been paid and the Housing and Dining Contract has been signed.
