We are always interested in hearing from our many accomplished alumni. We have made available for you, at this site, our recent Alumni newsletters (Fall 2024 Newsletter now available!) and encourage you to catch up on the exciting developments in our dynamic department.

Robock Alumni Reception at AMS 2025 in New Orleans

If you are attending the 2025 AMS Annual Meeting in New Orleans, join us for our AOS Robock Alumni Reception! There will be food, drinks, a slideshow of historical and current department photos, award presentations, and mingling with old and new friends. The reception will be in room Grand Salon D of the Hilton New Orleans Riverside from 7–9 pm on Tuesday, January 14. This year, we have a pre-registration form so you can skip the lines.

Dr. Thomas Vonder Haar is the recipient of the 2024 AOS Alumni Award for Outstanding Achievement.

Dr. Claire Pettersen is the recipient of the 2024 AOS Early Career Alumni Award.

Dr. Ned P. Smith is the recipient of the 2024 Champion of AOS Award.

Our AOS 75th Anniversary celebration was held on October 6, 2023

THANK YOU to everyone who joined us for our open house and 75th-anniversary event last Friday. We had a blast and hope you did, too. It was so great to see the AOS community – alumni, students, faculty/staff, colleagues, and supporters – come together in celebration. Here’s to 75 incredible years and many more to come!

Robock Alumni Reception at AMS 2023 in Denver

The 2023 Robock Alumni reception at the 2023 AMS Annual meeting in Denver was a fantastic success! There was food, drinks, a slide show of historical and current photos from the Department, and lots of visiting with old and new friends. Photos from the event will be posted here soon.

3ND ANNUAL ALUMNI OPEN HOUSE

We held our 3rd annual Alumni Open House on Friday, October 21, 2022. A few alumni dropped by and had a great time reminiscing.

Thanks all for stepping up to help serve in this critical connection between our current students and staff and our amazing alumni base! Photos and bios will be coming.
