Craft is for everyone.

We acknowledge that there is more we can do to build and strengthen a culture of inclusion to address inequities in the field of craft and within our own organization.

We believe that craft is for everyone and that craft has the power to celebrate our differences while illuminating our similarities, igniting genuine human connection.

We commit to ensuring that all individuals, craftspeople, and communities are continually recognized and part of the conversation as we work to craft an equitable future together.

The Center for Craft celebrates openness and generosity in a thought-provoking place where diverse cultural, artistic, social, and political positions are welcome. As we continue to grow as an organization through these efforts, so will the content on this page. The Center is actively engaged in this work and we look forward to sharing our progress with you.

Craft Futures Fund

The Craft Futures Fund supported craft communities throughout the United States and their creative responses to COVID-19. These one-time, unrestricted grants of $5,000 were disbursed to craft-based education projects that seed resilience, foster community, and amplify impact.

Crafting Resilience
