Teal Tool

World Energy and Meteorology Council

Teal is a visualization tool that enables users to explore climate variables (air temperature, wind speed, precipitation, and solar radiation) and carbon emissions for the past 40+ years, from 1950 to near real time. A global map shows climate data by country and sub-country.

  • The visualization could be useful for teachers to add to an existing lesson related to climate change. More background information about the tool can be found by clicking on the "about" icon in the righthand menu. Teachers with some knowledge in the science area will easily use this program and will be able to interpret the data. This can be included in students' class presentations or projects. Please note that you can locate the source of the data when you download the map data.
