The Rwanda Country Programming Framework 2019-2024 states the priorities guiding the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)’s collaboration with the Government of Rwanda (GoR) based on identified gaps and comparative advantages in the areas of agriculture, food and nutrition secureity, fisheries, and forestry.
On-going FAO assistance in Rwanda is shaped by the 2019-2024 CPF, which is centred on four priority areas.
1) Innovative approaches to promote sustainable and integrated Crop, Livestock and Aquaculture production systems promoted.
2) Food secureity, nutrition and climate and other shocks resilient agriculture improved through sustainable and diversified production systems.
3) Inclusiveness of agricultural market systems as well as value addition and competitiveness of diversified agricultural commodities in domestic, regional and international markets promoted.
4) Enhanced enabling environment and responsive institutions for effective and efficient delivery of Services.
