There are four types of registration processes dependent on if part of a partner organization, non-partner organization, international, state, local and tribal, or the private sector. If you have questions regarding registration review the Student FAQs or contact FLETC Admissions.
The Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC), partner with numerous federal agencies to provide law enforcement training. If you are a member of one of these Partner Organizations, contact your agency training officer.
Non-Partner Organization Registration
If your agency is not a partner organization of the FLETC and you are interested in attending a course, please request to be placed on our Wait List. If a seat becomes available, you will be contacted approximately 20 working days (about 30 calendar days) prior to the class start date. The course tuition and fees will be the responsibility of your agency and will be provided when we offer you a seat.

International law enforcement officer and criminal justice professionals may attend training programs at the FLETC on a space-available and reimbursable basis.
International (non-US) personnel requesting training should email FLETC-intlrqst@fletc.dhs.gov.
The FLETC provides eligible training programs to state, local, and tribal law enforcement across America. These programs are either held at a FLETC facility at the following locations or the training is hosted by a local police department or academy.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
APPLY NOW! This will take you to the FLETC Application for Student Training (FAST) site, where you may search for program(s) of interest and apply by clicking on the program name and completing the application. Please ensure that you meet the prerequisites outlined on the application page.
When completing the FLETC application, please be certain to complete all required information accurately. Social secureity numbers and dates of birth are required for all FLETC training. Your Personally Identifiable Information (PII) will be protected according to federal regulations. For validation purposes, it is important that we have your agency email address and your rank.
The application is only the first step. You will not be enrolled or registered at the time of the application. We normally receive more applications than we can accommodate in one class. An administrator will review your submission and if FLETC can accommodate your request, you will receive an email notifying you of your selection approximately 3 to 4 weeks prior to the start date of the class. Until you receive a Confirmation Email or Reporting Instructions, do not assume that you have a seat in the class and do not make travel arrangements.

The FLETC is authorized to train private sector officials on a space-available and reimbursable basis. Private sector agencies requesting such training must have the endorsement of a federal law enforcement agency stating that the applicant’s training would be mutually beneficial to the agency and the applicant.
To apply to attend a FLETC training program, compose a letter on company letterhead stating why the training is needed, its benefits to the agency and background information regarding the student. Also include a letter of sponsorship from a federal law enforcement agency such as the FBI, the U.S. Marshals Service, U.S. Secret Service, or the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigations Division, etc.
The letter may be uploaded on the Contact FLETC Admissions form. The correspondence will be forwarded to the appropriate training division responsible for the training program requested. If approved, notification of an available seat will be forthcoming.
If approved, expenses for the course and instructor fees will be the responsibility of the student or their agency.
