Synergies for global challenges
The coordination platform Geo.X is a strategic partnership, agreed by contract between four universities and five non-university research institutions with the aim of fostering the Berlin-Potsdam region as an international centre of geoscientific competence. The partner institutions merge their expertise in research, education, infrastructure, and transfer capabilities. In order to make relevant contributions to future issues in the Earth-Human system, Geo.X supports overcoming of traditional disciplinary boundaries. It networks geosciences with all related research disciplines and establishes a new quality in the cooperation with engineering, natural sciences, social sciences, economic sciences and the humanities.
