She is a co-founder and past president of the international Cat Writers’ Association, a certified member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants, a Fear Free Certified Trainer, and Dog Writers Association of America. She lives in north Texas and is an active pet parent.
Dr. Sarah Wooten is a well known international influencer in the veterinary and animal health care spaces. She has 16 years experience in private practice and over 10 years experience in media work. Dr. Wooten is a certified veterinary journalist, a member of the AVMA, and is passionate about helping pet parents learn how to care better for their fur friends. She is also a co-creator of the wildly popular card game ‘Vets Against Insanity’. She lives in the mountains of Colorado with her family and spends her free time skiing and exploring the great outdoors.
Dr. Laci Schaible is a small animal veterinarian, entrepreneur, author, and speaker. A graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine and Wake Forest University School of Law, Dr. Schaible utilizes her skillset to advocate for progressive change in the veterinary industry, from advocating for widespread availability of generic and affordable prescriptions for pets, to founding the world’s first Internet-based veterinary telehealth service, to advancing the current practice management systems available to veterinary teams. Dr. Jessica Seid is an emergency veterinarian currently practicing in the New England area. She grew up in rural West Virginia, which is where her passion for animals began, surrounded by family pets and abundant wildlife. She graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2008 and following graduation completed an internship outside of Chicago. Since then, she has been practicing at an emergency and specialty hospital for over a decade. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society. When not helping her patients, she enjoys traveling and exploring the outdoors with her husband, daughter and French Bulldog.
Dr. Patty Khuly is an award-winning veterinarian known for her independent thinking, her spirited pet advocacy, her passion for the veterinary profession, and her famously irreverent pet health writing. Dr. K is an honors graduate of both Wellesley College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She received her MBA at The Wharton School of Business as part of the prestigious VMD/MBA dual-degree program. She now owns Sunset Animal Clinic, a veterinary practice in Miami, Florida. Dr. Hull grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and after graduating from Kansas State University with a bachelor’s degree in animal science with an emphasis on nutrition, he remained at his alma mater to complete his veterinary education. Following graduation from vet school, he started his career in academia while focusing on advanced education in small animal internal medicine through internships and residencies at Purdue University, the University of Illinois, and the University of Missouri. He joined Hill’s Pet Nutrition in July 2020 as a Professional Digital Education Specialist, utilizing his academic background to develop educational materials on therapeutic pet foods for veterinary healthcare professionals. In his free time he enjoys hiking, camping, cheering for the Kansas City sports teams, riding his horse, and enjoying time at home with his two dogs, Ivory and Juniper.
Dr. Weemhoff grew up in New Hampshire and earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Hampshire where he developed his interest in veterinary medicine and research. After completing veterinary school at Kansas State University, Dr. Weemhoff worked as an emergency veterinarian for 4 years before earning his PhD in Toxicology at the University of Kansas Medical Center. He currently works as a Senior Scientist at Hill’s Pet Nutrition where he combines his background in research and veterinary medicine to conduct clinical trials testing the efficacy of therapeutic pet foods. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, running, and reading. He enjoys returning to New England as often as possible.
Dr. Becky Mullis is a small animal veterinarian and board certified veterinary nutritionist. After graduating from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Mullis completed a small animal internship and a clinical nutrition residency. She is passionate about educating veterinarians worldwide on the impact nutrition can have on the health of pets - both healthy cats and dogs and those with health concerns. She is currently working at the Hill’s office in Switzerland where she lives with her husband, 2 young children and a dog named Luna.
Hein Meyer is a companion animal veterinarian with ample experience in general practice, academia and business. A graduate of the Utrecht University College of Veterinary Medicine in the Netherlands, specialised in companion animal internal medicine and with a PhD in liver disease, Hein is perfectly suited to advise on a variety of diseases in dogs and cats. He has written numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles and book chapters and has lectured on a variety of internal medicine topics across the globe. Hein's current passion is the digital transformation of the veterinary profession and the many advantages this can bring to pets and pet parents, let alone the positive effects it can have on alleviating some of the stress the veterinary profession is going through.
