Over two half days of the Virtual Educational Summit on October 16th and 17th, industry experts and NCPDP Member Leaders -- who helped shape these next generation standards -- explored significant changes to NCPDP's named Health IT standards that are designed to further improve interoperability, efficiencies, and inclusion of transactions for better informed clinical decision-making at the point-of-care. Attendees had an opportunity to learn from the experts about strategies and resources for implementation to help navigate a successful implementation by the deadlines.
Who Attended? Attendees included health information technology (IT) professionals; EHR/EMR vendors; ePrescribing vendors; product managers; consultants; programmers; operations professionals; business analysts; system analysts; professionals in compliance; testing/certification professionals; implementation managers/coordinators; trainers of new software/applications; and others involved in ensuring effective implementation and use of the standards to benefit patients and healthcare providers.
Check Out the Agenda Featuring These Deep Dive Topics Covered at the Summit:
Don’t Wait to Prepare for Implementation!
Learning how to use the updated standards is necessary to meet the proposed timeline for implementation to comply with the final rule revising Medicare Prescription Drug Benefit (Part D) and Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) regulations to implement changes related to required standards for electronic prescribing and adoption of health information technology (IT) standards. Non-compliance with the changes can create industry gaps. You will get easy access to details of the new mandate and timeline for compliance.
