UNESCO announces plans at international forum to establish UofSC chair

UofSC and UNESCO announced an agreement in principle Friday to establish a chair in the College of Information and Communications, pending approval from the Board of Trustees.

Former South Carolina Gov. David Beasley, UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay and University of South Carolina Interim President Harris Pastides will headline "Information Saves Lives," an international forum on media freedom, disinformation and hunger, Sept. 24 at 10 a.m.

CIC offering students free Adobe Creative Cloud

All College of Information and Communications majors will now have access to Adobe Creative Cloud, a collection of more than 20 desktop and mobile apps, including Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro.

Students dive into digital media at inaugural CIC academy

The Media Innovation Academy offered a slate of cutting-edge courses students could take for credit or just for fun, including drone filming, multimedia sports storytelling and podcasting.
