The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) is responsible for the oversight of several modes
of transportation including aviation, maritime and rail, making it a multimodal–focused
service organization.
NJDOT has streamlined the process of receiving applications, awarding grants, and general
program management. Grants under the Airport Improvement Program and the
Rail Freight Assistance
Program are now being administered through an online resource,
SAGE (System for
Administering Grants Electronically).
Grant applications are being accepted for the 2019 Airport Improvement Program and the 2019 Rail
Freight Assistance Program runs from August 15, through October 9 of the current year.
For questions regarding the programs, call Bhavin Kapadia 609.963.2096.
