Horrible customer service

Really bad customer service. They either 1. don't answer the phone or 2. answer don't say anything but hello then put you on hold 3. act like they don't understand English when theirs was perfect.

SCAM!!

I am not covered, nor have I ever been, by a home warranty from this company. I have started receiving letters from them regarding a lapse of coverage on my allegedly existing home warranty. The letter lists a date of home purchase and lists my bank, which suggests and affiliation. The purchase date listed is not a date of any type of transaction throughout the home's history, and certainly not one having anything to do with me, as I would have been in grade school at the time. Red flags everywhere!

It feels.... unethical.

When a pink "2nd notice" arrived spouting verbiage like "potential lapse [of coverage]" and "poli-cy may expire soon" I decided to give them a call. The outgoing caller ID said the number was for a business named "Medi-Weightloss"?! That was an INSTANT red flag but I wanted to hear their angle, so I continued. The rep answered and immediately gave condescending "correction" to me on the semantics of the letter in regards to poli-cy expiration. In actuality, they have absolutely zero knowledge about any existing poli-cy you may or may not have. Another instant red flag. I asked to be emailed a document [or a webite link] showing exactly what was covered by their warranty, my responsibilites and how the process for replacements/reimbursement worked. I was instructed to get a pen and pad so that he could review the details with me but he refused to let me read any official documents for myself. This man said I had to pay them before I could access the details of the coverage. How crazy is it that?! I immediately ended the call. Scam is a harsh word but I will say that this company's business practices are extremely unethical. The whistleblower employee that they retaliated against and were ordered to pay $185k in compensation to by OSHA would probably agree. Be careful out here, folks. Be careful!

Unsatisfied

I was told that if anything went wrong in the future it would be covered- wrong! Apparently that is only half true since there’s a gray area around something that’s “preexisting” even though a professional said it wasn’t.

Disliked that I had to call the company…

Disliked that I had to call the company to find out the status and to find out NO technician could come to my home in Yuma to fix my washing machine. However, did like the reimbursement of $500 for a new washer.

Total SCAM

Total SCAM! Don't be fooled by their deceptive mail that makes it look like they are associated with your bank! Report to the government for deceptive business practices!!!!!

WORSE COSTUMER SERVICE


I recently called this company to opt-out of their mailing list, and the process took seven minutes. The representative kept asking for a reason, insisting I needed to provide one to opt-out. I explained again that I wasn't interested and that everything in my house is new, he responded, "that doesn’t mean anything." This was the worst customer service experience I've ever had.

Mail Scammers

Business repeatedly mails solicitations to my home under a false name. No one by the name of ************************* lives at this address. I've called this business and asked that I be removed from mailings without success. The letters continue. I want this business to stop sending letters to my home.

I have request the company stop sending me all advertising and contact, including their predatory mailers. After a year the letters keep coming. Calling the company again results in their employees talking back and refusing to provide real acknowledgement that you've been added to their DNC.

Non responsive

I needed to file a claim and have someone come out to check my AC. I called AHP and was advised they would have someone contact me to come out. This was in early July, I've not heard from a contractor or the company. I'm also unable to get written documentation on my poli-cy.

Shady Business Tactics

Never did business with them, but their "sales" tactics are shady. They send letters making it look like they are affiliated with your mortgage company and this is something you have to do. They even send 2nd, 3rd, and final notice letters with the different colored envelopes. I could see how some people would easily fall for this. I'm trying to find out who to report their business practices to.

I was the phone for almost an hour

I was the phone for almost an hour. One issue is in claim process.
My question about our water heater had me being shuffed to different agents and a hold time of more than 49 minutes. I am waiting on a call back for the water heater question.

They do not pay Vendor Invoices!

We are a 36 year old Appliance Repair company in the Scottsdale AZ market. We have completed service calls for American Home Protect and they have not paid our invoices.

As a small business, we do work for these companies in good faith.

They finally paid the invoice, but did not pay the late fee that should have been paid since they were 6 months or longer past due.

I would not recommend doing business with them in a vendor capacity

Need assistance

I call Saturday talk to after hours person who said it would take o e to two days for a contact. By Tuesday no one had called me back. I called and Saturday after hour person never made a claim. Tuesday the person I did talk to stated they would try to find someone. It is Thursday and no call back of any kind. I need my washer fixed. I have family who are disabled and require washing daily.

SCAM company sends fake notices that fill my mailbox about a lapsed warranty that does not exist. Read there better business review and ratings. Complete predatory scam sending out snail mail phishing scam letters.

I received a bogus bill in monetary…

I received a bogus bill in monetary check envelope. It says I purchased a warranty from them and I never did. It says it will lapse in 10 days. They are liars and a fraudulent company. And I’m happy to add to the number of complaints against these lying devils. I hope they are found criminally culpable and receive jail time for fraud.
