What

A suite of unified Earth system models
developed by the science community to
better predict weather and climate. The UFS
aims to simplify NOAA’s operational suite from
21 standalone forecast systems to 8 by 2025.

Why

We can’t control the weather, but we need to be able to predict and adapt to it. The UFS harnesses the power of community to build next generation operational weather prediction systems.
