Contract instructors wanted!
We are always looking for contract instructor candidates with a passion to further the professional development of the fire and emergency medical services and allied professions. NFA courses are some of the best in the nation, and we would love to talk with you about joining our team.
If you have substantial involvement in fire prevention and control, emergency medical services, or fire-related emergency management activities, we welcome you to apply. Courses are delivered online; at our campus in Emmitsburg, Maryland; and throughout the nation in cooperation with state and local fire training organizations and local colleges and universities.
Standardizing training, education, experience and certification
Through the Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) initiative, we're working to establish an organization of post-secondary institutions to promote higher education and to enhance the recognition of the fire and emergency services as a profession.
Members of the Board of Visitors are professionals selected from the fields of fire safety, fire prevention, education and training, fire control, research and development in fire protection, treatment and rehabilitation of fire victims, local government services management and from other professional organizations to ensure a balanced representation of fire and emergency services interests.
The next meeting of the Board of Visitors is scheduled for April 2025.
Review reports and minutes from past Board of Visitors meetings.
