5AM 1/8 - Update: Strong winds will lead to areas of blowing snow today along the I-80 corridor, and possibly extending to parts of the I-25 corridor. High Wind Warnings are in effect today for the Arlington/Elk Mountain area of I-80, and the Bordeaux area of I-25 with wind gusts to 60 MPH expected. Wind gusts of 40 to 50 MPH in the remaining parts of the I-80 corridor will lead to areas of blowing/drifting snow, slick road conditions, and reduced visibility at times.
5:30AM 1/8 - Winds will be on the increase today, especially in the typical wind prone areas. Expect areas of blowing snow in southeast Wyoming as clouds increase through the day. Temperatures will be warmer than yesterday, but still slightly cooler than seasonal averages. Another round of snow showers will arrive late this afternoon and carry into Thursday morning, as breezy conditions and patchy blowing snow continue.
5:30 AM 1/8 - Another quick moving storm system will bring a chance for snow showers beginning late this afternoon and continuing into Thursday morning. Most areas will see just a dusting to around 1-2" of snow accumulation, but locally higher amounts are expected mainly above 7500 ft in elevation. In addition to falling snow, breezy to windy conditions will keep patchy blowing snow around into Thursday.
