Above average temperatures could help power severe chances Tuesday afternoon and evening. Right now, the Storm Prediction Center is circling an area from Austin to Houston that has the best chances to pick up some damaging winds or large hail.
Timing looks to be toward the afternoon and early evening, with the severe threat subsiding not long after sunset.
