More General Meaning
[edit]This term is a synonym for location as well - not in English only, but in German as well. Should this database entry supersede its lingual base? --Vollbracht (talk) 14:27, 11 January 2022 (UTC)
- Item should not be a mixture. And problems of English and German should not spoil the term. --Infovarius (talk) 20:25, 12 January 2022 (UTC)
Added 'station' and 'mantle' as aliases to help with reconciling old historical texts
[edit]I came across some old historical texts that I was reconciling and found that 'position' is the correct topic when 'mantle' or 'station' in the context of a responsibility was discussed. Most of those historical texts were in the domains of Law and Religion. Hope this helps others. Thadguidry (talk) 01:08, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
Confusion between function (Q11348) and this item, position (Q4164871)
[edit]There is a discussion on the function (Q11348) talk page (see Talk:Q11348#Confusion between this item (Q11348) and position (Q4164871)) about the fact that function (Q11348) is often used when position (Q4164871) is intended. Katja Berčič (talk) 09:55, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
